Yeti, the cooler and thermos maker, is expanding into the backpack business with the acquisition of heavy-duty backpack and bag maker Mystery Ranch. Mystery Ranch's reputation for building load-bearing equipment aligns well with Yeti's commitment to innovation, and the acquisition will allow Yeti to offer a wider range of products to its customers. Elevate Entertainment Group has acquired three movie theaters in Florida, North Carolina, and Virginia, adding almost 200,000 square feet of entertainment space and 35 screens to its portfolio. The company, which already owns Violet Crown Cinemas, plans to open more new venues in the future. ORCA Computing, a photonic quantum computing company, is acquiring the photonics division of GenXComm, a 5G connectivity company based in Austin. The acquisition will strengthen ORCA's photonics capabilities and expand its team.
