Lau Heung Shing,  Sheryl Wu Dunn, Alex Tizon, Connie Chung are just some of the well-known Asian American journalists that have contributed to diversity of perspectives in U.S. media newsrooms.  This second session of our #MayMediaMonth series will focus on Asian American, Native Hawaii, and Pacific Islanders (AANHPI) journalists and how their unique backgrounds and voice allows for more comprehensive and nuanced understanding of stories, issues, and events.

Join us for a virtual discussion with the former president of the Asian American Journalists Association, as he share his journey in the media industry and shed light on the importance of diverse perspectives in newsrooms. He is strategic advisor at Hacks/Hackers, and worked with the Journalism and Tech Innovation at the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation , NBC News, Wall Street Journal, and Associated Press.
