In the United States, as well as in other democratic societies, it is through voting that the will of the people is translated into a government that serves the people. The right to vote, therefore, is precious. Patrick Suter, a federal prosecutor with the U.S. Department of Justice and the Embassy’s Resident Legal Advisor, will explain the laws that preserve Americans’ right to vote and how the American legal and court system works to protect that right.

Doors will open 30 minutes before the program starts. Please try to arrive at least 20 minutes before the program starts to allow enough time to go through security. You will NOT be admitted if you arrive after the program has started.

You must bring a valid physical photo ID in order to enter the Beijing American Center (BAC), copies or pictures of IDs will not be accepted.

While portable electronic devices, such as mobile phones, iPads and other tablets, and smartwatches are permitted, guests may not bring laptop computers to Beijing American Center programs. No large bags will be allowed for this event.
