欢迎各位英语老师参加2024年1月19日由美国驻华大使馆地区英语项目办公室（Regional English Language Office）举办的英语教师沙龙。本次沙龙由Kelly Donovan主持，活动时间为14:00-15:30。Kelly将与大家分享Nurturing Writing Fluency: Building Good Habits and Routines。此活动免费面向各学段英语教师、教研人员及高校英语专业学生，但需预约。活动限25人，实名注册，名满即止。 

Join us for the English Teacher Roundtable on January 19, 2024, hosted by the Regional English Language Office of the U.S. Embassy in China. Led by former English Language Fellow, Kelly Donovan, the event will take place from 14:00 to 15:30, offering a valuable opportunity for English educators to explore "Nurturing Writing Fluency: Building Good Habits and Routines."  

This free event welcomes English teachers across all educational levels, teacher researchers, and university students majoring in English. Limited to 25 participants, registration is mandatory and operates on a first-come, first-served basis.

Topic: Nurturing Writing Fluency: Building Good Habits and Routines 

Do your students hate writing? Do writing assignments seem tedious, boring, and stressful? Do you have too many students to give individualized feedback? In this roundtable discussion, we will discuss how to encourage all of your students to become fluent writers and expert peer reviewers. The presenter will share ready-to-use, fun, and effective classroom activities that can fit any topic. The activities require very little preparation and resources can be found on the Americanenglish.state.gov (http://americanenglish.state.gov/)website.

Trainer Bio 
Kelly Donovan has spent much of her professional and academic career in China. She joined the NYU Shanghai faculty in 2020 as a Lecturer of English for Academic Purposes. She is currently teaching content-based courses entitled: “The Science of Friendship” and “The Final Boss: Defeating Social Issues in Gaming.” Her research interests include language & identity, teacher training & supervision, and Ludic Language Pedagogy.  Prior to joining NYU Shanghai, Ms. Donovan was an English Language Fellow and Virtual English Language Fellow, through the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs exchange programs and was hosted by Qufu Normal University (QFNU) in Shandong, China from 2018 to 2020.

You must bring both your valid photo ID and registration confirmation in order to get into the BAC. Copies or pictures of IDs will not be accepted. Large bags and laptops will not be allowed into BAC for this event. Portable electronic devices, such as mobile phones, iPads and other tablets, and smartwatches are allowed to get in the BAC. Please wait in line at the East Gate of the embassy.
